Al Robi (Elvin Robichaud)1922-2007: Born in Massachusetts in 1922. As a child learned how to make linocuts from an elder brother. After World War II he settled in New York City, attending Cooper Union Art School and later the Art Students League. He earned his living for a number of years as a printmaker and is represented in New York by the Gallery Workshop. His linocuts are characterized by many layers of inks which form textures and broken colors as a foil to the whimsy of his usual subjects.
I was the winner of this auction. Had it rematted and reframed and it's gorgeous!
RépondreSupprimerHi biankat,
RépondreSupprimerI am so glad that I received feedback about this one because I don't have it in my collection. Unfortunately, I could not bid on it since the seller did not want to sell to a canadian ebayer :-(
Take a look on ebay item 140506595823. Would be a perfect match as a pair for you White Bird.
Thanks for sharing.
